Baseball Recap: Graford Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Graford can now relate to. They came up short against the Valley Mills Eagles on Wednesday, falling 28-1. The Jack Rabbits lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in May of 2025, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 6-1 score last time.

Graford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trenton Ragle, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Graford has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Valley Mills, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-4-1.

While Graford had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
