Softball Recap: Sachem East Find Success

Sachem East never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Lindenhurst on Wednesday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Bulldogs. Sachem East hasn't had any issues with Lindenhurst recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Sachem East let Sam Madigan and Xiomara Llerena run wild. Madigan went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Llerena went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits Madigan has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emily Beebe, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Sachem East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Sachem East's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Lindenhurst, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Sachem East will challenge Walt Whitman at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Sachem East surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lindenhurst, they have already played their next contest, an 18-4 loss against Connetquot on the 17th.
