Mariner came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-1 to the North Fort Myers Red Knights. The Tritons' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Lilly Kitto made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Mariner's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for North Fort Myers, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Looking ahead, Mariner will be taking part in a tournament against Riverdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tritons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for North Fort Myers, they will take on Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Green Wave's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Red Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
