Baseball Recap: Big Sandy Gets the Win

Big Sandy's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Joaquin Rams.

The team relied heavily on Kolten Glover, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Zach McGallion was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Big Sandy now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Joaquin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Big Sandy will square off against West Hardin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Joaquin, they will face off against Woden at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Woden 4, Joaquin 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
