Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Towne Warriors vs. Penn Treaty Wovles

Franklin Towne hasn't had much luck against Penn Treaty recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Franklin Towne Warriors will host the Penn Treaty Wovles at 3:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Franklin Towne is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech by a score of 78-69 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Penn Treaty fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Bodine on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to Bodine 111-106. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (57), the Wovles still had to take the loss.

Franklin Towne will have to contain Heavon Washington as he made an impact in Penn Treaty's last game. He posted 51 points. The game was Washington's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delval Carr, who earned 17 points.

Penn Treaty has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Franklin Towne, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
