Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Crawford

Crawford lost to Moody back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Crawford Pirates were the clear victor by a 14-3 margin over the Moody Bearcats. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Crawford let Brooke Bubert and Macey Cloud run wild. Bubert got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Cloud scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Sidney Hamilton also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Crawford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Crawford's record now sits at 3-1. As for Moody, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-4-1 record.

Looking ahead, Crawford will challenge Bosqueville at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Bosqueville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.6 runs per game this season. As for Moody, they are taking a road trip to square off against Valley Mills at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
