Basketball Recap: Hamshire-Fannett Skates Past Hardin-Jefferson with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stafford, Hamshire-Fannett was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks, posting a 77-49 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Longhorns, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hardin-Jefferson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Larson, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 18 points and three steals. Samuel Jones was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Hamshire-Fannett's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Hamshire-Fannett will welcome Shepherd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamshire-Fannett is facing Shepherd at the right time seeing as Shepherd is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they will head out to take on Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hardin-Jefferson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season.
