Science Leadership Academy had won four straight at home, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 4-3 to make it five. They put the hurt on Masterman with a sharp 16-3 victory. The Rockets haven't had any issues with Masterman recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Marisa Phan, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Katherine Diemer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and four runs.

Science Leadership Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

As for Masterman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

On Masterman's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Margaret Olsen, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Science Leadership Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-4 loss against Central on the 23rd. As for Masterman, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-2 defeat against Constitution on the 28th.
