Waverly is 4-0 against Sexton since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Waverly Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Sexton Big Reds at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Waverly sitting on five straight wins and Sexton on three.

Waverly will head into Thursday's game having proved themselves against DeWitt: Waverly barely beat DeWitt the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Waverly blew past DeWitt 74-40 on Thursday. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 34 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Sexton was able to grind out a solid victory over Portland on Friday, taking the game 54-47.

Sexton's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Waverly, they are also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Waverly didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Sexton when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with an 88-82 victory. Will Waverly repeat their success, or does Sexton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
