Basketball Game Preview: West Columbus Vikings vs. Whiteville Wolfpack

The West Columbus Vikings will square off against the Whiteville Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Columbus is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

West Columbus fought the good fight in their overtime contest against East Bladen on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Eagles. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 17-8 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Whiteville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 66-62 to South Columbus. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whiteville's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for West Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
