Baseball Recap: Marinette Takes a Loss

Marinette made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Little Chute, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Marines fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Marines in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Chase MacGregor was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Wyatt Stauss was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Marinette's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Little Chute, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

While Marinette had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
