Baseball Recap: MOC-Floyd Valley Comes Up Short

MOC-Floyd Valley entered their game against Saydel on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Dutchmen fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 8-7. That's two games in a row now that the Dutchmen have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for MOC-Floyd Valley and nudges their season record down to 20-4. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Saydel, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

MOC-Floyd Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-3 victory against Le Mars on the 30th. As for Saydel, they will head out to square off against Nevada at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
