Baseball Recap: Halifax County Comes Up Short

Halifax County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the Russell County Lakers.

Carter Thomasson led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Ryder Milam, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Halifax County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Russell County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Halifax County will welcome Patrick County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Russell County, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Whitley County at 6:00 p.m.
