Basketball Recap: Barren County Triumphs

Barren County won the last time they faced Campbellsville and things went their way on Monday too. The Barren County Trojans walked away with a 53-45 win over the Campbellsville Eagles.

Campbellsville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keaton Hord, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Hord a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Gribbins, who posted 13 points.

The victory got Barren County back to even at 9-9-1. As for Campbellsville, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Barren County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 83-45 win against Russellville on the 21st. Campbellsville has also already played their next match, a 77-70 defeat against Larue County on the 21st.
