Holy Cross waltzed into their matchup on Sunday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Bishop Loughlin Lions by a score of 68-55. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Lions are ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holy Cross pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for Bishop Loughlin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.

Coming up, Holy Cross is taking a road trip to face off against St. Raymond Boys at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Loughlin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
