Basketball Recap: Lawrence Comes Up Short

Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 49-39 to the South Brunswick Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Vikings are ranked 170th).

Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for South Brunswick, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Lawrence has already played their next match (against Maple Shade), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Brunswick will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Princeton at 4:00 p.m. on February 19th.
