Soccer Recap: James Madison Comes Up Short

James Madison entered their game against Westfield on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Warhawks lost 4-1 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, James Madison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Westfield are ranked 37th).

James Madison is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6-2. As for Westfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1-1 record this season.

James Madison will head out on the road to square off against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Westfield, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Chantilly at 7:15 p.m.
