Softball Recap: Parsons Takes a Loss

Parsons extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-2 in the process. They came up short against the Pittsburg Dragons, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 back in March.

As for Pittsburg, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-1. Considering they have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Pittsburg's part, Haylee Ingerson was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave Ingerson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brette Pasteur, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Parsons does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pittsburg, they will be playing at home against New Heights Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
