Baseball Recap: Cedar Crest Falcons vs. Ephrata Mountaineers
Cedar Crest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ephrata Mountaineers. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mountaineers from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.
Cedar Crest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Kreider, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Kreider also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Mason Berresford was another, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Cedar Crest's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Ephrata, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Meanwhile, Ephrata (ranked 52nd) will meet Central York (ranked 298th) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Mountaineers have won four straight at home, while the Panthers won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
