Basketball Recap: McLouth Comes Up Short

McLouth lost against Valley Falls back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The McLouth Bulldogs fell 42-34 to the Valley Falls Dragons. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Valley Falls found their leader in sophomore Chloe Cox, who posted 17 points along with six steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cox has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cali DeLong, who earned ten points in addition to five boards and four steals.

McLouth's loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Valley Falls, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-15.

McLouth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 37-30 defeat against Jackson Heights on the 14th. As for Valley Falls, they have also already played their next game, a 57-41 loss against Oskaloosa on the 14th.
