For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Laconia and Berlin meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Spartans came out on top against the Indians by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won seven in a row.

While Laconia might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Berlin scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19.

Finley Morgan paced Laconia's offense, picking up nine kills. Morgan got some help from Gabby Pinno and her 13 assists.

Laconia's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Berlin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Laconia has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Campbellsport on the 20th. As for Berlin, they will square off against Wisconsin Dells at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
