Baseball Recap: Penfield Comes Up Short

Penfield came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-1 to the Webster Schroeder Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost eight in a row.

Penfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Scibienski, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Penfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Webster Schroeder, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-8.

Coming up, Webster Schroeder will challenge Hilton at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Penfield will be paying especially close attention to the Warriors' matchup: after the Warriors face off against the Cadets, they'll take on Penfield again at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
