Paxton-Buckley-Loda lost against St. Joseph-Ogden back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Spartans, falling 35-12. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayden Vance, who picked up 140 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one rushing score. Vance's longest reception was for an incredible 82 yards. Tyler Swan also helped out as he racked up 102 receiving yards.

St. Joseph-Ogden's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kodey McKinney, who threw for 197 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. A healthy portion of McKinney's aerial production (132 yards to be exact) went to Kaden Wedig, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
