Baseball Recap: Orem Triumphs

After losing to Park City the last time they met, Orem decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Miners on Saturday, sneaking past 4-3.

Orem got a great performance from Beckett Hendry as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over 4.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chase Ford, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Orem's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Park City, their record now sits at 1-4.

Coming up, Orem will take on Deseret Peak in a tournament on Saturday. As for Park City, they will be taking part in a tournament against Olympus at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
