The biggest upset of the week belonged to Unity, who defeated 438th ranked Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia, 44-25.

Central added to the longest winning streak in Western Illinois Valley - North this week by beating Routt Catholic, 58-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Panthers.

Central's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cole Phillips threw for 122 and 2 touchdowns and Zach Foote had 74 yards receiving. On the ground Alger Saldana chipped in 81 yards. Saldana helped Central's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 48 yards.

Phillips put up the best numbers through the air as Brad Dixon's team defeated the Rockets. Phillips' favorite target this week was Foote, who caught 2 passes for 74 yards.

Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Phillips has thrown for 255 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Austin Kramberg has 2 catches for 95 yards.

Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when the Panthers' Kramberg goes up against the Trojans' Kole Jackson.

One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Central and Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia face off next week.

Next week's game between the Panthers and Rich Thompson's team will feature a good passing match up as Phillips will test his arm against Jackson's defensive ability.

The Trojans are currently in fourth, while Central is in first.

There should be lots of points scored when Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia and the Panthers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Trojans comes in having scored 132 this season, while Central has scored 314. Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia scored 25 points last week as it lost to the Mustangs.

Unity scaled the state rankings by moving to 460 from 496 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mustangs were able to move up by beating the Trojans 44-25.
