Basketball Recap: Lasara Comes Up Short

If Lasara was feeling good fresh off their 44-14 takedown of Benavides on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions were dealt a 60-17 defeat at the hands of the McMullen County Cowboys on Tuesday. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-8.

Lasara's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for McMullen County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Lasara will look to defend their home court on Friday against San Perlita at 5:00 p.m. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so the Lions' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for McMullen County, they will venture away from home to take on Pawnee at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
