Softball Recap: Calvary Baptist Academy Has No Trouble Against Holy Savior Menard

Calvary Baptist Academy won the last time they faced Holy Savior Menard and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won 19 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Kynzee Anderson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Addison Willis tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last seven games.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Reese Walker, who fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Loren Sivils was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs.

Calvary Baptist Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive matchups.

Calvary Baptist Academy's record now sits at 30-1. As for Holy Savior Menard, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-11.
