Basketball Game Preview: West Memphis Blue Devils vs. Greene County Tech Golden Eagles

The West Memphis Blue Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, West Memphis beat Batesville 42-33. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Pioneers are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Greene County Tech came tearing into Friday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 61-53.

West Memphis' win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Greene County Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.

West Memphis took their win against Greene County Tech when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 53-29. Will West Memphis repeat their success, or does Greene County Tech have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
