Black Hills and Shelton are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Wolves will challenge the Highclimbers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Black Hills has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Black Hills came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against WF West, falling 14-4. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Bearcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Kailey Miller made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

Meanwhile, Shelton had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Centralia on Wednesday, sneaking past 11-10.

Shelton's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-7. As for Black Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Black Hills took their victory against Shelton in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-7 score. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Highclimbers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
