Baseball Recap: Steele Canyon Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Steele Canyon barely beat West Hills the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars blew past the Wolf Pack 10-2 on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Wolf Pack recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Hunter Haase spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Caha Gavin, who went 3-for-4 with two runs. He has become a key player for Steele Canyon: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 9-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Austin Hall, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Steele Canyon's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-12. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.5 runs. As for West Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.
