Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Port). They never let the Lake Weir Hurricanes onto the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. Antonio Mikedis was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

West Port's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four contests. As for Lake Weir, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5-1.

West Port will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against North Marion at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Lake Weir will take on Dunnellon in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
