Baseball Recap: Lone Peak Has No Trouble Against Westlake

Lone Peak won against Westlake on Tuesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Knights were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Thunder. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Thunder recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Bowen Barnes and Boston Walkenhorst did most of the damage at the plate: Barnes went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Walkenhorst went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Barnes has become a key player for Lone Peak: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Christensen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lone Peak's record now sits at 10-11. As for Westlake, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lone Peak beat the Thunder by a score of 8-1 on Friday.
