Basketball Recap: Fresno Christian Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Fresno Christian hadn't done well against Sierra recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Fresno Christian Eagles came out on top against the Sierra Chieftains by a score of 67-55. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 50-44 win the Chieftains walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Sierra's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chayce Duerksen, who posted 14 points. Micah Goodman was another key player, putting up ten points.

Fresno Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.2 points per game. As for Sierra, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.

Fresno Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-51 victory against Chowchilla on the 31st. Sierra has also already played their next contest, a 78-39 win against Parlier on the 31st.
