Volleyball Recap: Churubusco Takes a Loss

Churubusco and Westview squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Churubusco had to settle for second. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it nine in a row.

Kelsee Coil paced Churubusco's offense, picking up 11 kills. Coil got some help from Alyssa Marks and her nine assists. Coil also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Cora Boersema, each putting up two.

Churubusco's defeat dropped their record down to 7-23. As for Westview, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-13.

Churubusco does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westview, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Eastside on the 18th.
