Basketball Recap: Arrowhead Beats Pewaukee for Their Fifth Straight Win

Arrowhead extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Natalie Kussow. The Arrowhead Warhawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pewaukee Pirates on Saturday, sneaking past 68-65 thanks in part to Kussow, who shot 6-for-11 from deep and dropped a double-double on 35 points and 11 boards. Her afternoon made it 13 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Teresa Kescenovitz, who went 7 of 9 on her way to 17 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Arrowhead has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Pewaukee, their defeat ended a 16-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-2.

Arrowhead has already played their next game, a 50-44 win against Waunakee on the 14th. As for Pewaukee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-47 victory against Pius XI Catholic on the 16th.
