Groesbeck waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Covington Owls by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Groesbeck took both sets by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-8.

Groesbeck now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Covington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Groesbeck didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Marlin on the 22nd. As for Covington, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Itasca at 6:00 p.m. on September 2.
