Basketball Recap: Louisburg Takes a Loss

Louisburg lost against Ottawa back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Louisburg Wildcats took a blow against the Ottawa Cyclones, falling 66-35. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Cyclones are ranked fifth).

Louisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Ottawa, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Louisburg will head out to square off against Tonganoxie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Louisburg is facing Tonganoxie at the right time seeing as Tonganoxie is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Ottawa, they will challenge Eudora at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ottawa's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
