Raytown waltzed into their game on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 67-53 win over the Belton Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-50 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Belton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caleb Campbell posted 13 points and eight boards. Jayce Maiden was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Raytown pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Belton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Raytown Bluejays face off against the Grain Valley Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Raytown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Grain Valley likes a good challenge. As for Belton, they will be playing at home against Truman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season.
