Basketball Preview: Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors vs. Northwest Falcons
Tse' Yi' Gai is 9-1 against the Falcons since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors will be staying on the road to face off against the Northwest Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, Tse' Yi' Gai suffered a rough 48-25 defeat at the hands of the Warriors. Tse' Yi' Gai was down 44-16 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Northwest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 11th straight loss. They were outmatched by Navajo Pine on the road and fell 80-40.
Tse' Yi' Gai's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
Tse' Yi' Gai didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Falcons in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tse' Yi' Gai since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
