Football Recap: Holy Trinity Comes Up Short at Home Against St. John the Baptist

Holy Trinity unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 16-12 to the St. John the Baptist Cougars on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Maurice Scott was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 110 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 80 yards.

The victory got St. John the Baptist back to even at 1-1.

Holy Trinity has already played their next matchup, a 14-6 win against Morris Catholic on the 12th. As for St. John the Baptist, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 25-21 victory against Xaverian on the 12th.
