Football Recap: Battle Ground Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Battle Ground and Bothell squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Battle Ground had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 20-17.

Battle Ground's loss came despite strong showings from Trent Richardson and Ethan Adams. Richardson picked up 155 receiving yards and two TDs, while Adams threw for 239 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 18 passes. Adams' passing game has become a key predictor of the Tigers' success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-4 otherwise.

Bothell was led to victory by Mylez Welch and Carlin Gochnour. Welch gained 151 total yards, while Gochnour picked up 123 receiving yards and one score. Those 123 receiving yards gave Gochnour a new career-high.

Battle Ground's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Bothell, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

As of now, neither Battle Ground nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
