Baseball Game Preview: Glenn Grizzlies vs. Elgin Wildcats

Glenn is 0-3 against Elgin since March of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Grizzlies will square off against the Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Glenn's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Hays 2-0.

Glenn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Anaya, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run was Anaya's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Elgin entered their tilt with Pflugerville Connally on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 10-0 win.

Glenn's record now sits at 6-11-3. As for Elgin, their record is now 11-9-1.

Glenn couldn't quite get it done against Elgin when the teams last played back in February as they fell 7-2. Can the Grizzlies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
