Softball Recap: Bothell Comes Up Short

Bothell couldn't beat Skyline on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Cougars came up short against the Spartans, falling 12-4. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Bothell has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Skyline, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Skyline beat Bothell by a score of 16-6 later that day.
