Soccer Recap: Academy for Classical Education's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After flying high against Northeast last Friday, Academy for Classical Education came back down to earth. The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings on Tuesday. The Gryphons were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than four goals in the three games prior), but the Vikings' defense proved too tough.

With the defeat, Academy for Classical Education broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy for Classical Education will challenge Dodge County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Dodge County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Academy for Classical Education surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they will be playing at home against Westfield School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
