Baseball Recap: Key Comes Up Short

If Key was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Rockbridge Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Key Obezags fell just short of the Indian Creek Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The Obezags were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in May of 2019.

Alex Neenan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Key now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Indian Creek, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Key and Indian Creek will both be playing Meade the next time they take the field. Indian Creek will host Meade at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, while Key will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
