Football Recap: Fitchburg Takes a Loss

Fitchburg had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-9 to make it four. They took a blow against the Leominster Blue Devils, falling 59-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Raiders of the 46-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

As for Leominster, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Osiris Lopez was his usual excellent self, throwing for 149 yards and six TDs, while also rushing for 43 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Ben Marchetti also helped with two scores in total.

As of now, neither Fitchburg nor Leominster have any future games scheduled.
