            Baseball Preview: Classical Academy Caimans vs. University City Centurions        
        
		
        
        
            The Classical Academy Caimans will challenge the University City Centurions at 1:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  matchup.
Classical Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Helix  on Tuesday. The Caimans fell  6-1 to the Highlanders. The Caimans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Classical Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Trevor Hoff, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.
Meanwhile,  after a string of five wins, University City's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. They took  a  7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bonita Vista.
University City also got a good showing from  Gavin Sieler, who   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 On the hitting side,  Josh Kaplan was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.  Ethan Antenore also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
 University City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Classical Academy was able to grind out a solid  win over University City in their previous matchup  back in February of 2023, winning  4-1. Will the Caimans repeat their success,  or do  the Centurions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
