York Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-8 to the Delone Catholic Squires. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Fighting Irish's highest-scoring match to date.

York Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Delone Catholic, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. York Catholic will challenge Hanover at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Nighthawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Fighting Irish will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Delone Catholic, they will take on York County Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
