After losing to Pentwater the last time they met, Brethren decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bobcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons on Thursday, sneaking past 14-12. The game was the first time the Bobcats have beaten the Falcons on their field since May 15, 2024.
Rylee Hall was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Norah Myers, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
The victory got Brethren back to even at 1-1. As for Pentwater, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Looking ahead, Brethren will challenge Morley Stanwood at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pentwater, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bear Lake at 4:15 p.m. on the 27th.
