Basketball Recap: Fullington Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Crisp Academy

It's playoff time, and Fullington Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 56-50 win over the Crisp Academy Wildcats on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won five matchups in a row.

It was another big night for Jaye Beth Womble, who posted 28 points and seven rebounds. The contest was her fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Stevens, who put up eight points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Fullington Academy's win bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Crisp Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

Looking ahead, Fullington Academy will square off against Thomas Jefferson Academy at 1:30 p.m. on February 21st. Thomas Jefferson Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Fullington Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Crisp Academy, they have already played their next game, a 55-43 win against Covenant Academy on the 18th.
